Tokyo Area Baseball Batting Centers

Japan has a long history with Baseball going back over 100 years and it is the most popular sport in the country. There are many batting centers all around Tokyo and they can be found in the large arcades, on building rooftops, and as stand-alone facilities. The baseball batting centers offer a great place to practice hitting baseballs and some of the batting centers have pitching games where you can pitch to try to hit targets.

Most batting centers in Japan are open late and some are 24 hours. The batting centers range from the most basic old-style batting cages to newer more modern versions with simulated video pitchers. Tokyo Dome Batting Cages

Tokyo Dome Batting Cages are located in Tokyo Dome City. At this modern batting center, you can bat against some of the Japanese professional baseball league’s best pitchers in a simulated setting. There are also pitching games where you can try to pitch to hit two kinds of targets, 9 and 16 targets. Meiji Jingu Batting Dome

The Jingu Batting Dome is located in the Jingumae Stadium complex of facilities (Home of the Tokyo Yakult Swallows). There are several batting cages with different pitch speeds. Shinjuku Batting Center

Shinjuku Batting Center is a stand-alone batting center that also has arcade games. This is a popular old-style batting center with simple cages and various pitch speeds to choose from. The best thing about this batting center is that its open to 4 am. OSLO Batting Center

OSLO Batting Center is a stand-alone batting center with arcade games. This is a simple old-style batting center with several batting cages with different pitch speeds. The Koei Batting Cages are part of an entertainment complex. This batting center has several batting cages with different pitch speeds. It is close to the Waseda University campus and popular with university students. They are reasonably priced and on weekends and it can be very busy. American Stadium

The American Stadium is a family-focused arcade center. The American Stadium batting center is a good place to practice batting and is simple and easy to use. At this batting center, you watch a large monitor and bat against a pitcher who will throw a real-time pitch. Asakusa Batting Stadium

Asakusa Batting Stadium is part of the Rox Dome arcade complex. A massive baseball mitt and ball inside is prominently featured on the front of the building to welcome visitors. Active Akiba Batting Center is a rooftop batting center on top of Yodobashi Camera department store. Here you watch a large monitor and face a pitcher who will throw a real-time pitch. Ikebukuro Batting Center

Ikebukuro Batting Center is located in the Q Plaza building. This building has just been totally reconstructed and the new batting center is on the roof of the building and this might be the tallest batting center in Japan. This is a nice batting center with several batting cages with different pitch speeds. The roof batting center may be closed during stormy weather. Okura Batting Cages are part of the Okura Bowling entertainment complex. The batting center is outside and they have several batting cages with different pitch speeds. The AC Batting Kamata Batting Center is located inside a massive entertainment complex AthleCitta Kamata. This is a nice batting center that is well-maintained, but it does have a low ceiling. Sangenjaya Batting Center

Sangenjaya Batting Center is located on a rooftop above a Hanamasa wholesale store. This batting center is a bit aged. It has several batting cages with different pitch speeds and simple features. Batting Center Shimokurata

Batting Center Shimokurata is part of an entertainment center. This is located close to a college campus and here you will find young teams of baseball players practicing batting. Daikeien Amusement Park
